Allan Schule of Sound Shore Pond, Inc. in Wading River, New York, coordinated the design and installation of a memorial Pondless® Waterfall built for Leanne Simonsen, the widow of Detective Brian Simonsen, aka ‘Smiles.’ Smiles was a 20-year veteran of the New York Police Department who was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty in February of 2019.
Brian and Leanne live in a small-town community and are loved and respected by everyone. The soothing waterfall with a custom engraved urn fountain was donated to Leanne so that she has a peaceful, quiet place to sit and remember Brian. The local Aquascape distributor donated all the product, and a few Certified Aquascape Contractors donated their time and efforts to help Allan so the project could be completed in one day. The result is a relaxing, beautiful spot to unwind and reminisce about Brian and his life.
