The administrators of Mary Lanning Hospital Cancer Center believe that nature and the outdoors are integral to the body’s healing process. To shield patients’ windows during treatment, they opted to install a water feature as opposed to a large fence. Each patient has a unique view of the expansive pond and waterfall from their rooms. Visitors are able to enjoy the relaxing and therapeutic sights and sounds of the water feature.
