Coyote Peterson

Coyote Peterson of Brave Wilderness introduced Aquascape to the director of the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center, who needed an indoor pond for the center’s turtles and other local species.

In 2025, Aquascape installed an ecosystem pond at Coyote Peterson’s home for his baby snapping turtle. Before construction began, a stubborn tree stump was removed, and excavation began. Ed Beaulieu The Pond Professor designed a pond with slow-moving water that mimics the turtle’s natural habitat, with a deep zone, shallow basking shelves, driftwood, and a sandy bottom for burrowing. A wetland filter with aquatic vegetation keeps the water clean and healthy for Coyote’s cherished reptile.
