Create a stunning ecosystem pond with Team Aquascape at Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center located on South Bass Island in Ohio. This fun and innovative build is open to both novice and veteran pond builders. The nature center currently enjoys an indoor Aquascape pond and now it’s time to create an outdoor pond and waterfall off their back deck. The water feature will expose thousands of tourists to the joy and beauty of Living the Aquascape Lifestyle®!

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to work with TEAM Aquascape to create a breathtaking pond and waterfall that blends with the Karst geology of the region. What’s more, you’ll enjoy networking with like-minded pond professionals.

Book your ferry ticket and head over to Put-In-Bay, Ohio to participate in an incredible build at the Lake Erie Island Nature & Wildlife Center with Ed Beaulieu, the Pond Professor! Take part in building a custom waterfall with a bridge and deep meandering stream that leads into an Aquascape ecosystem pond that beautifies the outside of the nature center. The water feature may also include a negative edge down the hillside, depending on site conditions. Like all Aquascape events, this is a great opportunity to network and learn about building Aquascape water features!

Make sure to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to build a pond on this beautiful and unique island!

Monday, July 25th
  • All Day – Arrival and check-in at the Put-In-Bay Island Club Cabins :
  • 5:00-6:00 PM – Event check-in at: the Reel Bar, 461 Catawba Ave, Put-In-Bay, OH 43456
  • 6:00-8:00 PM – Reception Dinner
  • 8:00-10:00 PM – Drinks and music at the Pavilion @ the Island Club
Tuesday, July 26th
  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM Breakfast will be served at the Pavilion
  • 8:00 AM –The build begins
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch will be served at the Pavilion
  • 1:00 PM – Classroom training session for novice builders

    * Family members / Guests are welcome to explore the island through an organized Narrated Historical Train Tour that includes admissions to : Perry’s Cave, War of 18 Putt-Putt, Butterfly House Exhibit, Heineman Winery / Cristal Cave Tour for an extra charge of $50.00. Wednesday, July 27th
  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM Breakfast will be served at the Pavilion
  • 8:00 AM – Continue the build
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00 PM – Build will continue until completed.
  • 5:30-6:00 PM – Pre-dinner drinks at the Pavilion
  • 6:00-9:00 PM – Dinner will be served followed by networking
Thursday, July 28th
  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM Breakfast will be served at the Pavilion
  • Event ends after breakfast to allow everyone to drive home or continue their stay
